The clinical case is focused on the health status of the 65-year-old male patient, with COPD diagnosed 3 years ago, with a history of smoking, chronic bronchitis and dyspnea of 1 year of evolution. The patient also has mixed anxiety / depression disorder, hypercholesterolemia, and high blood pressure. A smoker of 28 cigarettes / day for 36 years. Patient who abandoned his COPD treatment (budesonide / formoterol 1 inhalation / 12h, salbutamol on demand and tiotropium bromide 1 inhaled capsule / 24h indefinitely) due to the lack of perception of improvement. He indicated that due to personal problems, he abandoned COPD treatment. Also, that he has not been vaccinated against the flu despite being instructed to get vaccinated. The realization of this clinical case focuses on recognizing COPD as a disease of great importance for public health due to its high mortality rate, to date it is a more frequent disease in adulthood worldwide and it is very important to know what is the risk of suffering from this disease and what would be the results in a person. The objective of the clinical case is to identify the clinical manifestations of COPD in advanced studies and administer adequate treatment. At the end of this study, it is concluded that said respiratory diseases such as COPD present obstruction of the airways or poor respiratory mechanics, so rehabilitation is a very good option for these patients, since these patients need to improve ventilation and maintain the airways. permeable areas.es_ES
