This presents as an infection of the upper respiratory tract and its symptoms resemble a cold, for this reason it is often misdiagnosed. Pneumonia can be viral or bacterial. Among the main symptoms we find: productive cough, fever, fatigue, among others. The complications of pneumonia occur when the infection is not limited to the lung parenchyma, but spreads to neighboring areas, or when the development of the infection is more complex than usual for different reasons. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | Como se explica más adelante la neumonía es una enfermedad que si no es tratada y diagnosticada a tiempo tiene una alta mortalidad. Esta se presenta como una infección del tracto respiratorio superior y sus síntomas se asemejan a un resfriado, por esta razón muchas veces es mal diagnosticada. La neumonía puede ser viral o bacteriana. Entre los principales síntomas encontramos: tos productiva, fiebre, fatiga, entre otros. Las complicaciones de las neumonías se producen cuando la infección no se limita al parénquima pulmonar, sino que se extiende a áreas vecinas, o cuando el desarrollo de la infección es más complejo que el habitual por diferentes motivos. | es_ES |
