In the present study, the clinical case is based on a neonate patient 3 days old, in his first days, he began to present respiratory problems such as respiratory distress, asphyxia, slow breathing, respiratory sounds, for which he was admitted to the intensive care area because She did not show improvement, within the intensive care unit the respective diagnoses were made, which resulted in type 1 acute respiratory failure. Thanks to the application of techniques in respiratory therapy used in the patient such as trying to keep the airways open, control acute respiratory failure, correct hypoxemia through oxygen therapy, apply the appropriate drugs so that the patient has an effective evolutionary process, control and review all the signs and symptoms parameters, and a number of therapeutic methods and treatments to be able to control the symptomatological picture that occurs in type 1 acute respiratory failure. Type 1 acute respiratory failure is the inability of the respiratory system to comply with gas exchange to meet the body's needs, it can occur from one time to another and is one of the main reasons for entering the neonatal intensive care unit. The purpose of the study of this clinical case is to demonstrate the methods and techniques applied by respiratory therapists in order to provide the exact care to reduce complications caused by type 1 acute respiratory failure in neonatal patients.es_ES
