dc.descriptionIn the present clinical case study, it refers to an adult patient over 85 years of age, male, with a married marital status, with a primary school level, of medium socioeconomic level, who lives in the city of Vinces, has a previous pathological history of arterial hypertension, in the last hours he presented a picture compatible with respiratory failure so he enters the Emergency at the Dr. Nicolás Coto Infante Basic Hospital, he is taken by his granddaughter with symptoms such as: dyspnea, dry cough, fever, fatigue, insomnia. Once admitted, he was treated according to the presumptive diagnosis and due to the presence of cyanotic skin and 94% saturation, for which oxygen therapy is applied, with a nasal cannula at 3 liters per minute along with 10mg enalapril, to have the diagnosis final chest X-ray, laboratory tests, chest CT, electrocardiogram, the patient presented acute respiratory failure due to heart failure. The patient was admitted to the Dr. Nicolás Coto Infante Basic Hospital in the observation area, where the doctor and the respiratory therapist apply different treatments for the recovery of the patient, who was hospitalized for 13 days, after which exercises are recommended. to recover lung capacity among other activities that includes outpatient care with the cardiologist.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEn el presente estudio de caso clínico se refiere a un paciente adulto mayor de 85 años de sexo masculino, de estado civil casado, con nivel de estudio de primaria, de nivel socioeconómico medio, que vive en la ciudad de Vinces, presenta antecedentes patológicos previos de hipertensión arterial, en las últimas horas presentó un cuadro compatible con insuficiencia respiratoria por lo que ingresa a Emergencia en el Hospital Básico Dr. Nicolás Coto Infante, es llevado por su nieta con síntomas como: disnea, tos seca, fiebre, cansancio, insomnio. Una vez ingresado se procedió a darle un tratamiento según el diagnóstico presuntivo y por presentar piel cianótica y saturación del 94%, por lo que se le aplica oxigenoterapia, con cánula nasal a 3 litros por minuto junto a enalapril de 10mg, para tener el diagnóstico final se realiza RX de tórax, exámenes de laboratorio, TAC de tórax, electrocardiograma, el paciente presentó insuficiencia respiratoria aguda a causa de insuficiencia cardiaca. El paciente estuvo ingresado en el Hospital Básico Dr. Nicolás Coto Infante en el área de observación, en donde el médico y el terapista respiratorio aplican diferentes tratamientos para la recuperación del paciente, que estuvo 13 días hospitalizado, luego de lo cual se le recomienda ejercicios para recuperar la capacidad pulmonar entre otras.es_ES
