| dc.description | COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) is a pathology that generates a condition at the level of the bronchi, which causes them to contract, and also affects the lungs, destroying the alveoli. Because of the Epoc there is an obstruction in the air passage, therefore breathing becomes more difficult. One of the main causes of its appearance is by the consumption of cigarettes. Approximately 15% of the world's population is affected by Epoc. Among its signs and symptoms that we can find among them: chest wheezing, chronic cough, respiratory infections, cyanosis, weight loss, to name a few. Among the risk factors we find excessive consumption of tobacco, exposure to smoke, environmental pollution, etc. The diagnosis is made through pulmonary function tests, chest X-ray, arterial blood gas, laboratory analysis among others. One of the main recommendations given to COPD patients is to abandon bad health habits, such as quitting smoking, avoiding irritating substances, maintaining a good diet, etc. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El Epoc (enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica), es una patología que genera una afección a nivel de los bronquios, que hace que estos se contraigan, y también afecta a los pulmones, destruyendo a los alveolos. A causa del Epoc se produce una obstrucción en el paso del aire por lo tanto la respiración se hace más difícil. Una de las principales causas de su aparición es por el consumo de cigarrillos. Aproximadamente el 15% de la población mundial está afectada por Epoc. Entre sus signos y síntomas que entre ellas podemos encontrar: sibilancias de pecho, tos crónica, infecciones respiratorias, cianosis, pérdida de peso, por nombrar algunas. Entre los factores de riesgo encontramos el consumo excesivo de tabacos, exposición a humos, contaminación ambiental, etc. El diagnostico se realiza mediante pruebas de función pulmonar, radiografía torácica, gasometría arterial, análisis de laboratorio entre otros. Una de las principales recomendaciones que se les da a los pacientes con Epoc es el de abandonar malos hábitos de salud, como dejar de fumar, evitar sustancias irritantes mantener una buena alimentación, etc. | es_ES |
