dc.descriptionThe present case study refers to pediatric conjunctivitis with purple disease in an 8-year-old female patient, who came to the clinic due to symptoms of red eyes, hyperemia, legañas. A clinical evaluation was carried out and the behaviors causing this condition were identified. Pediatric conjunctivitis with purple disease was diagnosed and an ophthalmologist was referred to confirm the diagnosis and provide adequate treatment. The results of this study reveal the importance of the use of safety elements in swimming pools, as these are a source of infection. Optometrists are the first line of visual care and for this reason they should be able to provide a proper diagnosis or refer you to an ophthalmology specialist in order to provide adequate treatment.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente estudio de caso es referente a la conjuntivitis pediátrica con enfermedad purpura en una paciente femenina de 8 años, la cual acude a consulta por presentar síntomas de ojos rojos, hiperemia, legañas. Se realizo valoración clínica y se identifico las conductas causantes de esta afección. Se diagnostica conjuntivitis pediátrica con enfermedad purpura y se deriva al oftalmólogo con el fin de confirmar diagnostico y proveer tratamiento adecuado. Los resultados del presente estudio revelan la importancia del uso de elementos de seguridad en las piscinas, al ser Estas un foco de infección. Los optometristas son la primera línea de cuidado visual y por tal razón deben ser os que brinden un diagnostico adecuado o deriven a un especialista en oftalmología con el fin de brindar el tratamiento adecuado.es_ES
