dc.description | Childhood cataract is a rare pathology, manifested from the first moments of life, considered responsible for 10% of visual loss and accompanied by other ophthalmologic conditions such as: strabismus, microphthalmia. Its early diagnosis could help to improve visual development. Its treatment is more complex than in adults, considering some aspects such as age, type of cataract and surgery time, among others. The objective of this clinical case is to determine the cause of the visual decrease in the left eye after surgery for congenital cataract presented by the patient, performing the respective optometric / ophthalmologic assessments and patient data to assess its scope, finding as a result a moderate amblyopia by deprivation of stimulus in the left eye of the patient, so it is essential a treatment to improve normal visual development. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
