dc.descriptionDiabetes is a chronic pathology that occurs when the pancreatic organ is unable to produce the necessary insulin requirements according to the World Health Organization, the number of people affected worldwide grew from 115 million to 420 million in 2016. The present case study reveals a 60-year-old patient with personal backgrounds in diabetes mellitus, to the interview the patient reports that in the last days I present polydipsia that did not give in with fluids, polyuria and post-mentioned and more worrying was the development of the difficulty in swallowing semi-solid foods that is accompanied by asthenic table hours later moved to the hospital and attended by the emergency service in a state of alteration of his consciousness was valued and in the income development dyspnea in mid-efforts, complementary examinations were performed and diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis, after stabilizing his hemodynamic state and vital signs he prepared the patient and transferred him to the area of internal medicine I where he went hospitalized for 7 days until his clinical recovery , because of this he was discharged with information regarding his pathology and nursing staff providing health education about the treatment in diabetes mellitus the importance of consumption in medication and the consequences in abandonment finally referred the patient to his health center for the relevant controls.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa diabetes es una patología crónica que sucede cuando el órgano pancreático no es capaz de producir los requerimientos necesarios de insulina según la Organización Mundial de Salud, la cantidad de personas afectadas en todo el mundo creció de 115 millones hasta 420 millones en 2016. El estudio de caso presente revela a paciente de 60 años con antecedente personales en diabetes mellitus, a la entrevista el paciente comunica que a los últimos días presento polidipsia que no cedía con líquidos, poliuria y posterior a lo mencionado y más preocupante fue el desarrollo de la dificultad para deglutir alimentos de tipo semisólidos que se acompaña con cuadro asténico horas posteriores se trasladó al hospital y acude por el servicio de emergencia en estado de alteración de su conciencia fue valorado y en el ingreso desarrollo disnea de mediados esfuerzos se realizó exámenes complementarios y se lo diagnóstico con cetoacidosis diabética, después de haber estabilizado su estado hemodinámico y signos vitales se preparó al paciente y se lo traslado al área de medicina interna I donde paso hospitalizado durante 7 días hasta su recuperación clínica, debido a esto fue dado de alta con información referente a su patología y el personal de enfermería brindo educación para la salud acerca del tratamiento en la diabetes mellitus la importancia del consumo en la medicación y las consecuencias en el abandono finalmente se refirió al paciente a su centro de salud para los controles pertinentes.es_ES
