At birth the neonate presents several physiological changes, during this period several complications can appear, among them neonatal jaundice, which is considered one of the main causes of morbidity in preterm and term neonates. Neonatal jaundice is the presence of yellow coloration of the skin and mucous membranes of the neonate, due to hyperbilirubinemia in the blood; among the main risk factors are maternal-fetal, due to Rh-incompatibility between the mother and the neonate. This clinical case describes a newborn with neonatal jaundice due to Rh-incompatibility, with hyperbilirrubinemia, which requires the timely intervention of nursing staff to avoid possible complications in the newborn, such as severe neurological diseases like Kernicterus, which in extreme cases can cause brain damage and death of the newborn, hence the importance of early treatment of such complications in the newborn. Therefore, this case study describes a 37-week term neonate by Capurro, at nursing assessment presents KRAMER+++ zone, is active, jaundiced fascia and mucous membranes, APGAR 7/9, normal Moro reflex. The objective of this clinical case is to develop the nursing care process in a neonate with neonatal jaundice due to Rh-incompatibility, which will be developed starting from the diagnosis and medical treatment, identifying the needs and potential health problems presented by the neonate, applying nursing care in a comprehensive manner for a prompt recovery.es_ES
