| dc.description | Inguinal hernias are a frequent pathology; their treatment is surgical. Inguinal hernias are common in clinical practice, affecting between 3 and 5% of the general population. In recent years, it has gone from being considered an unimportant issue to being one of the best studied processes and where excellence in treatment is the primary objective (Pinzón, 2011). The objective of this clinical case was to apply the nursing care process to a patient with a medical diagnosis of right inguinal hernia, hospitalized in the surgery area of the Alfredo Noboa Montenegro Hospital. Because it is a very important issue, the nursing professional must implement biosafety, asepsis and antisepsis measures and prior hand washing at the time of carrying out the activities that were taught based on the nursing diagnosis and the nursing care process, to provide direct care to the patient, in order to reduce the percentage of pathogenic microorganisms when cleaning the wound in a sterile way. Through this case, it was possible to conclude that the nursing care process, medical treatment and nursing interventions are essential for the recovery of the patient, providing quality care and warmth to patients with right inguinal hernia. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | Las hernias inguinales son una patología frecuente, su tratamiento es quirúrgico. Las hernias inguinales son frecuentes en la práctica clínica, afectando entre un 3 a 5 % de la población general. En los últimos años ha pasado de ser considerado un tema poco importante a ser uno de los procesos mejor estudiados y donde la excelencia del tratamiento es el objetivo primario (Pinzón, 2011). El objetivo de este caso clínico fue aplicar el proceso de atención de enfermería a un paciente con diagnóstico médico de hernia inguinal derecha, hospitalizado en el área de cirugía del Hospital Alfredo Noboa Montenegro. Debido a que es un tema de suma importancia el profesional de enfermería debe de implementar medidas de bioseguridad, asepsia y antisepsia y previo lavado de manos al momento de realizar las actividades que se impartieron a base del diagnóstico enfermero y el proceso de atención de enfermería, de brindar los cuidados directo al paciente, para así disminuir el porcentaje de microorganismos patógenos al momento de realizar una limpieza de herida de manera estéril. Por medio de este caso se pudo concluir que el proceso de atención de enfermería, el tratamiento médico y las intervenciones de enfermerías son fundamentales para la recuperación del paciente, brindando una atención de calidad y calidez a los pacientes con hernia inguinal derecha. | es_ES |
