The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) affects the cells of the immune system, causing general discomfort in the individual. When the virus develops in the human body, it will remain in it for life, since there is no medicine to eradicate the disease, but to treat it, in this case, antiretrovirals, which are drugs, which help prevent it from spread HIV faster, lengthening the life of the patient. This pathology is transmitted from person to person through contact with body fluids, blood and used syringes, if this pathology is not treated in time, the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) will develop, causing serious symptoms such as hyperthermia, diarrhea, loss of weight, swollen glands and infections, it even gives way to other pathologies to develop because the immune system is weakened. In the annual report of the epidemiological gazette of Ecuador, from 2009 to 2019, 80% of notifications of people living with the HIV virus were covered and currently there is the 90 90 90 method which is an eager objective to eradicate the HIV epidemic. HIV / AIDS in Ecuador. With all that was investigated and with the collection of patient data, it was possible to propose standardized nursing care that helps to improve the symptoms that afflict the patient, but not without first informing the patient about the procedures that will be carried out for their speedy recovery. All the care provided gave positive results in the improvement of the patient.es_ES
