| dc.description | The following clinical case is based on the analysis of pneumonia diagnosed in an 11-year-old pediatric patient at the Martin Icaza General Hospital in the emergency area. The objective of the research is to establish a care plan applying the Nursing Care Process (PAE) in the patient, through the description of the clinical history, health status, applied tests, identification of functional patterns. The research methodology is based on the Nursing Care Process (PAE) method, a tool that allows the development of care in line with improving the quality of life of the patient and reducing complications of the disease. The findings detected in the investigative process are that the pediatric patient arrived at the hospital facilities with breathing difficulties, which is why nebulizations were carried out for medical indications, in addition tests were carried out to diagnose the disease (Pneumonia not specified). The applied PAE allowed the patient to recover through the nursing professional's care, since the correct intervention was made to improve physical and psychosocial well-being. The study concludes that the participation of the NANDA, NOC and NIC taxonomy shows that favorable results will be obtained when the nursing staff fulfills the role of care with the parameters established in the medical institution. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El siguiente caso clínico se basa en el análisis de neumonía diagnosticada en una paciente pediátrica de 11 años de edad en el Hospital General Martin Icaza en el área de emergencia. El objetivo de la investigación es establecer un plan de cuidado aplicando el Proceso de Atención de Enfermería (PAE) en la paciente, a través de la descripción de la historia clínica, estado de salud, exámenes aplicados, identificación de patrones funcionales. La metodología de investigación se basa en el método de Proceso de Atención de Enfermería (PAE), herramienta que permite desarrollar cuidados alineados a mejorar la calidad de vida del paciente y la reducción de complicaciones de la enfermedad. Los hallazgos detectados en el proceso investigativo son que la paciente pediátrica llego a las instalaciones del hospital con dificultades para respirar, es por ello que se procedió a la realización de nebulizaciones por indicación médica, además se ejecutaron exámenes para diagnosticar la enfermedad (Neumonía no especificada). El PAE aplicado permitió que mediante los cuidados del profesional de enfermería la paciente pueda recuperarse, puesto que se intervino de forma correcta para mejorar el bienestar físico y psicosocial. El estudio concluye en que la participación de la taxonomía NANDA, NOC y NIC, demuestra que se obtendrán resultados favorables cuando el personal de enfermería cumple con el rol de cuidado con los parámetros establecido en la institución médica. | es_ES |
