Acute cholecystitis is a disease, which is evidenced by inflammation of the gallbladder wall, due to the presence of stones, its symptoms are based on the development of pain produced in the upper right quadrant of the abdomen associated with nausea and emesis, jaundice, dehydration and hyperthermia. In acute cholecystitis, the Murphy sign is characteristic, that is, arrest of inspiration with deep palpation of the right subcostal area. In some cases, a mass can be palpated, corresponding to the inflamed gallbladder, although sometimes abdominal resistance can prevent palpation. To reach a definitive diagnosis, the health personnel relies on clinical parameters and on laboratory and imaging findings. The treatment of choice is laparoscopic cholecystectomy due to its minimal invasiveness and the patient's recovery time. This case study is of great importance in the field of health since it generates information about the pathology and how we should act when providing care to the patient, being this of vital importance for recovery and can adapt to their new Lifestyle. With the main objective of applying the nursing care process in a 34-year-old patient with acute cholecystitis. The present case study allows us to recognize each of the health problems presented by the user and prioritize nursing interventions and in turn achieve favorable results for the benefit of the patient.es_ES
