dc.descriptionDiabetes is a pathology that seriously affects Ecuador, being the third leading cause of death in the country, an indicator that should promote people to have a better quality of food, in order to avoid suffering from this disease, since it involves many complications. As it is known today that the current pandemic caused by SARS-CoV2 or also know as Covid 19 belongs to the family of coronaviruses which is a new mutated strain, which are still conducting research to find a specific treatment. People who have overcome on suffered from this disease do not really know the repercussions or conditions that it can present in the body in the long term. Covid 19 in a highly infections pathology that can manifest itself from the most moderate to chronic symptoms, it should be noted that patients with underlying diseases such as Diabetes Mellitus are vulnerable to the presence of this virus. The following clinical case study focuses on a 58 years-old Diabetic patient with Covid 19, at the same time that a correct home care plan is developed with the help of a family doctor, all biosafety measure are taken, in order to do so. dc.description.abstractLa diabetes es una patología que afecta gravemente al Ecuador, siendo la tercera causa de muerte en el país, indicador que debe promover a las personas llevar una mejor calidad alimenticia, para así poder evitar padecer esta enfermedad, ya que implica muchas complicaciones. Como se conoce hoy en día que la actual pandemia causada por el SARS-CoV2 o también conocido como Covid19 pertenece a la familia de los coronavirus la cual esta es una nueva cepa mutada, que aún están realizando investigaciones para encontrar un tratamiento específico. Las personas que han superado o padecido esta enfermedad en realidad todavía no se sabe las repercusiones o afecciones que pueda presentar en el organismo a largo plazo. El Covid19 en una patología altamente infecciosa que se puede manifestar desde la sintomatología más moderada hasta la crónica, cabe recalcar que los pacientes con enfermedades de base como la Diabetes Mellitus son vulnerables ante la presencia de este virus. En el siguiente estudio de caso clínico se enfoca en una paciente Diabética de 58 años de edad con Covid19, al mismo que se le desarrolla un correcto plan de cuidado domiciliario con ayuda de médico de cabecera, se toman todas las medidas de bioseguridad, para así ofrecerle una atención de calidad y calidez y obtener su pronta recuperación.es_ES
