In the present work, the toxic epidermal necrolysis pathology produced by the consumption of sulfa and emergency hypertensive crisis will be exposed. With the purpose of demonstrating the importance of nutritional intervention in the clinical area. I present the following patient from the Guayaquil Specialty Hospital Dr. Abel Gilbert Pontón, who was suggested as a burned patient due to the severity of his injuries. The subjective method was used for its initial assessment, through nutritional screening, due to its age and condition; supplementation and artisan diet were started according to their requirements. After a few weeks, an objective assessment could be carried out, using anthropometric, biochemical, clinical and dietary methods, which showed a better nutritional status evidenced by the recovery of its tissue, fewer ulcers and better results from biochemical laboratories. I can conclude that nutritional support and diet therapy were of great need in the maintenance and recovery of the patient. In addition, nutritional education improved the patient's eating behavior, since their habits were not adequate, giving a positive turn to support the treatment of the present chronic pathology.es_ES
