| dc.description | Nowadays one of the most used web services is REST, since this is an important element in the integration of systems of different platforms, this gave way to the creation of the so-called development stacks that are a set of tools that allow us develop an application to solve a specific problem. The MERN stack is characterized by using the JavaScript programming language in all the tools that make it up. This research was developed with the purpose of analyzing the MERN stack and its use in web applications based on REST services, developing a web application with basic functions using the tools of the stack to which performance tests were applied. The research of this project is of a documentary type to be able to determine theoretical definitions of the MERN stack, it was also possible to determine its characteristics, emphasizing its operation. On the other hand, the aforementioned application was developed to be able to support large amounts of information, to put it to the test and obtain results for later analysis. To determine whether the use of the MERN stack is recommended as a tool for the development of web applications based on REST services, it was necessary to carry out an investigative analysis of its advantages and disadvantages, based on the application of the respective software tests and the generated results. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | Hoy en día uno de los servicios web más utilizados es REST, ya que este es un elemento importante en la integración de sistemas de diferentes plataformas, esto dio paso a la creación de los llamados stack de desarrollo que son un conjunto de herramientas que nos permiten desarrollar una aplicación para dar solución a un problema en específico. El stack MERN se caracteriza por utilizar en todas las herramientas que lo componen el lenguaje de programación JavaScript. La presente investigación fue desarrollada con el propósito de analizar el stack MERN y su uso en aplicaciones web basada en servicios REST, desarrollando una aplicación web con funciones básicas utilizando las herramientas del stack a la que se le aplico pruebas de rendimiento. La investigación de este proyecto es de tipo documental para poder determinar definiciones teóricas del stack MERN, también se pudo determinar sus características, haciendo énfasis en el funcionamiento de la misma. Por otro lado, la aplicación antes mencionada, fue desarrollada para ser capaz de soportar grandes cantidades de información, para ponerla a prueba y obtener resultados para su posterior análisis. Para determinar si es recomendable el uso del stack MERN como herramienta para el desarrollo de aplicaciones web basadas en servicios REST, fue necesario llevar a cabo un análisis investigativo de sus ventajas y desventajas, teniendo como base la aplicación de las respectivas pruebas de software y los resultados generados. | es_ES |
