| dc.description | This clinical case study is about a 32-year-old female patient who goes to medical consultation for her routine prenatal checkup having 24 weeks’ gestation, examination of the tests the doctor notices that she has hyperglycemia, before this the doctor suspects gestational diabetes and sends tests to confirm this suspected, such tests are: screening with 50g of oral glucose and then the glucose tolerance test, which are altered and gestational diabetes is diagnosed. In response, multidisciplinary management is requested from the patient. The objective of this clinical case is to evaluate the nutritional status of the patient and provide a therapeutic dietary plan to avoid further and specific complications. This assessment determines that pregnancy is overweight, and according to its altered biochemical values a nutritional plan is determined that results in normalizing glycaemia values and maintaining a weight gain appropriate for gestational age. Finally, it is concluded that the overall objective of this case was achieved, also adding that the patient's weight gain was evaluated until week 27 and is suitable for gestational age. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El presente estudio de caso clínico trata sobre una paciente de sexo femenino de 32 años de edad que acude a consulta médica por su control prenatal de rutina teniendo 24 semanas de gestación, a la revisión de los exámenes el médico se percata que presenta hiperglicemia, ante esto el médico sospecha de diabetes gestacional y le envía exámenes para confirmar dicha sospecha, tales exámenes son: tamizaje con 50g de glucosa oral y posteriormente el test de tolerancia a la glucosa, mismos que resultan alterados y se diagnostica diabetes gestacional. Ante esto se solicita en la paciente un manejo multidisciplinario. El objetivo de este caso clínico es evaluar el estado nutricional de la paciente y proporcionar un plan dieto terapéutico para evitar complicaciones posteriores y específicas. Por medio de esta valoración se determina que el embarazo inicio con sobrepeso, y de acuerdo a sus valores bioquímicos alterados se determina un plan nutricional que conlleve a normalizar los valores de glicemia y mantenga una ganancia de peso adecuada para la edad gestacional. Finalmente se concluye que se logró llevar a cabo el objetivo general de este caso, añadiendo también que se evaluó la ganancia de peso de la paciente hasta la semana 27 y resulta adecuada para la edad gestacional. | es_ES |
