dc.descriptionThe present clinical case is about a 54-year-old male patient, a single marital farmer, resides in the city of Vinces, is diagnosed 5 years ago with type 2 diabetes mellitus, works as a day laborer, maintains an inadequate diet, currently has plantar ulcer diabetic foot, refers to a family history of hypertension, mentions that he does not follow dietary recommendations or physical activity. He comes to the consultation due to symptoms of asthenia, headaches, grade I foot and ankle edema, skin paleness due to the infection of his ulcer on his left foot, which complicates the plantar area, this causes his limited mobility, in addition to hyporexia due to because its intake does not complete its nutritional requirements. For the development of the present case, a nutritional assessment was carried out in which it was determined that the patient was at a normal body mass index, and did not present cardiovascular risks; laboratory data reflect hyperglycemia, moderate anemia; By means of the physical evaluation, it was possible to observe dull and fine hair, skin paleness, due to an inadequate food intake evidenced by the frequency of food consumption. An individualized nutritional plan is carried out for the patient, taking into account the nutritional diagnosis and the pathological condition which consists of a therapeutic diet plan of 1700 kcal / day divided into 5 doses according to the requirements and metabolic demands of the patient in order to improve in this way. the quality of life of the patient avoiding future complications such as short-term amputations.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente caso clínico trata sobre un paciente de sexo masculino de 54 años de edad, agricultor de estado civil soltero, reside en la ciudad de vinces, es diagnosticado hace 5 años con diabetes mellitus tipo 2, trabaja como agricultor jornalero, mantiene una alimentación inadecuada, actualmente presenta pie diabético ulcera plantar, refiere antecedentes familiares de hipertensión arterial, menciona que no sigue recomendaciones dietéticas ni actividad física. Acude a la consulta por presentar síntomas de astenia, cefaleas, edemas de pie y tobillo grado I, palidez cutánea debido a la infección de su ulcera en su pie izquierdo, la cual complica el área plantar esto ocasiona su limitada movilidad, además de hiporexia debido a que su ingesta no completa sus requerimientos nutricionales. Para el desarrollo del presente caso se realizó valoración nutricional en el cual determina que el paciente se encuentra en un índice de masa corporal normal, no presenta riesgos cardiovasculares; los datos de laboratorio reflejan una hiperglucemia, anemia moderada; mediante la valoración física se pudo observar cabello opaco y fino, palidez cutánea, por una ingesta inadecuada de alimentos evidenciada por la frecuencia de consumo de los alimentos. Se realiza un plan nutricional individualizado al paciente, teniendo en cuenta el diagnostico nutricional y la condición patológica el cual consiste en un plan dieto terapéutico de 1700 kcal/día fraccionado en 5 tomas acorde a los requerimientos y demandas metabólicas del paciente para de esta manera mejorar la calidad de vida del paciente evitando complicaciones a futuro como amputaciones a corto plazo.es_ES
