dc.descriptionThis case study describes the nutritional management of heart failure in a 56-year-old female patient, who has a personal pathological history: poorly controlled high blood pressure from the age of 38, an acute myocardial infarction that occurred a year ago, harmful smoking habits since age 30, and poor eating habits. He goes to a doctor's office for symptoms of dyspnoea, tiredness and shortness of breath when he climbs uphill, climbs stairs or walks for more than 15 minutes, and edema of the lower ones that in the morning starts from the feet and with the passage of hours goes up to the calf which leaves forvea. For the development of the case was established as a general objective Provide a therapeutic dietary plan that improves the nutritional status of the 56-year-old male patient with heart failure. Throughout the development, various parameters were also evaluated to establish nutritional diagnosis so that the most appropriate intervention can be determined and performed. A DASH diet of 1972kcal is established daily, distributed in 5 meal times, selected foods suitable for your pathology. A month later through the nutritional monitoring carried out it is concluded that the nutritional plan achieved the fulfillment of the overall objective, achieving favorable results for the patient.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEste caso de estudio describe el manejo nutricional de la insuficiencia cardíaca en un paciente de sexo masculino de 56 años de edad, que tiene por antecedentes patológicos personales: hipertensión arterial mal controlada desde los 38 años, un infarto agudo de miocardio ocurrido hace un año, hábitos nocivos de tabaquismo desde los 30 años y malos hábitos alimentarios. Acude a consulta médica por presentar síntomas de disnea, cansancio y falta de aire cuando sube cuesta arriba, sube escaleras o camina por más de 15 minutos, y edema de miembros inferiores que por la mañana inicia desde los pies y con el paso de las horas sube hasta la pantorrilla lo cual deja fóvea. Para el desarrollo del caso se estableció como objetivo general proporcionar un plan dieto terapéutico que mejore el estado nutricional del paciente masculino de 56 años de edad con insuficiencia cardiaca. A lo largo del desarrollo también se evaluaron diversos parámetros para establecer el diagnostico nutricional y de esa manera poder determinar y realizar la intervención más apropiada. Se establece una dieta DASH de 1972kcal diarias, distribuidas en 5 tiempos de comida, seleccionado alimentos adecuados para su patología. Un mes después mediante el monitoreo nutricional realizado se concluye que el plan nutricional logró el cumplimiento del objetivo general, logrando resultados favorables para el paciente.es_ES
