dc.descriptionClimate change and agriculture are related, as they have global effects. In the work to be presented, it will be announced that climate change influenced by factors such as gas emissions, temperature, rainfall, droughts affect agriculture in different ways. In the province of Los Ríos, 62 % of the population is related to agriculture and this is affected by these climatic phenomena such as rainfall, droughts, strong winds, agriculture contributes to greenhouse gas emissions; Los Ríos produces 42,30 % of non-oil exports in the country, in addition, in the province the crops that are planted are short-cycle, since the farmer constantly needs income to be able to survive; and at the same time to know that not all small farmers have agricultural insurance that allows them to recover those invested costs, for which it is very necessary for them to receive help from the government to face this problem. Production decreases and this leads to yields also decreasing; many farmers adapt or cope with climate change using strategies such as: use of drought tolerant vegetative material, agroforestry, crop rotation, and others. All these adaptation strategies must be accompanied by implementation actions that require policies and economic and social conditions oriented for this purpose.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl cambio climático y la agricultura van relacionados, pues tienen efectos a nivel mundial. En el trabajo a presentarse se dará a conocer que el cambio climático influenciado por factores como emisiones de gases, temperatura, precipitaciones, sequías afectan a la agricultura de diferentes maneras. En la provincia de Los Ríos el 62 % de la población está relacionada a la agricultura y esta se ve afectada por estos fenómenos climáticos como precipitaciones, sequías, vientos fuertes, la agricultura contribuye las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero; Los Ríos produce el 42,30 % de las exportaciones no petroleras en el país, además en la provincia los cultivos que se siembran son de ciclo corto, ya que el agricultor necesita constantemente ingresos para poder subsistir; y a su vez conocer que no todos los pequeños agricultores poseen un seguro agrícola que les permita recuperar aquellos costos invertidos, por lo cuál para ellos es muy necesario recibir ayuda del gobierno para enfrentar esta problemática. La producción decrece y esto conlleva a que los rendimientos también disminuyan; muchos agricultores se adaptan o hacen frente al cambio climático usando estrategias como: uso de material vegetativo tolerante a sequías, agroforestería, rotación de cultivos, y otros. Todos estas estrategias de adaptación deben ir acompañadas de acciones de implementación que requieren contar con políticas y condiciones económicas y sociales orientadas para dicho fin.es_ES
