This document detailed the management of herbicide resistant weed populations. Due to the issue raised, it was determined that in the provinces of Guayas and Los Ríos, resistance to herbicides inhibitors of the ACC-asa enzyme to the weed Leptochloa sp. Has been noted. what has caused him to apply high doses to cause harm, being a limitation for rice producers; the herbicides that cause greater resistance against a weed complex are those belonging to the group of inhibitors ALS (acetolactate synthase) or ACC-asa (acetyl-coenzyme A carboxylase); When there is more diversity of weeds in crops, there is a greater risk of generating resistance due to the probability of generating control inefficiencies, which is attributed to low efficiency techniques, incorrect use of doses and equipment and little or no control in non-existent spaces. cultivated as borders and paths of the crop is one of the factors that can also increase the forms of resistance to weed control; It is necessary to change the herbicide to use another that acts on a different site of action, in order to slow the evolution of resistance of weeds to certain herbicides and good agricultural practices are essential in integrated weed management, especially when suspicion of the existence of herbicide resistant populations.es_ES
