Informal trade can be defined as a form of employment exercised by people, who cannot find a secure job or cannot cover the needs of the household with their current salary. In the Babahoyo canton, informal trade has proliferated due to the unemployment of the inhabitants, this is caused by slow economic growth, lack of preparation of the inhabitants; Sometimes there are those who have a professional title but do not have the job opportunities and the migration of people from the countryside to the city, among others. Informal trade has been taken as an employment alternative and a way to generate economic income that meets the needs of the population.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación se basa en realizar un estudio y posteriormente un análisis de como la pandemia a causa del covid-19 afectó la economía comercio informal en la ciudad de Babahoyo. Al comercio informal se lo puede definir como una forma de empleo que ejercen las personas, que no encuentran un empleo seguro o no pueden cubrir las necesidades del hogar con su sueldo actual. En el cantón Babahoyo el comercio informal se ha proliferado debido al desempleo de los habitantes, esto es ocasionado por el lento crecimiento económico, falta de preparación de los habitantes; en ocasiones hay quienes cuentan con un título profesional pero no tienen las oportunidades laborales y la migración de personas del campo a la ciudad, entre otras. El comercio informal se lo ha tomado como una alternativa de empleo y una forma de generar ingresos económicos que satisfagan las necesidades de la población.es_ES
