| dc.description | This case study made refers to the city of Babahoyo and the factors that impede its tourist development, being one of the most populated cities in the province of Los Ríos, recognized for being the river capital of Ecuador and for many legends and customs. The city of Babahoyo has the best commercial link in the province due to its high-scale agriculture and its high-quality crops. The objective of this case study is to identify the factors that impede the tourism development in the city of Babahoyo, Los Ríos province, to recommend growth strategies that benefit tourism and the community in general. The applied methodology was descriptive, bibliographic documentary and exploratory with a mixed approach, for that reason the techniques used were indirect observation, surveys and an interview with Ing. Miguel Galarza institutional strengthening analyst. The following instruments were applied: the observation file, the formulation of the surveys through an online questionnaire, the preparation of a series of questions for the interview. As a result of the investigation, it was concluded that one of the factors that impede the tourist development of the city of Babahoyo is the absence of attractions and there is a need for professionals in the area to undertake tourism-related businesses. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El presente estudio de caso hace referencia a la ciudad de Babahoyo y los factores que impiden su desarrollo turístico siendo una de las ciudades más pobladas de la provincia de Los Ríos, reconocida por ser la capital fluvial del Ecuador y por muchas leyendas y costumbres. La ciudad de Babahoyo tiene el mejor enlace comercial de la provincia debido a la agricultura de alta escala y a sus cultivos de gran calidad. El objetivo de este estudio de caso es identificar los factores que impiden el desarrollo turístico en la ciudad de Babahoyo provincia de Los Ríos para recomendar estrategias de crecimiento que beneficien al turismo y a la comunidad en general. El tipo de investigación aplicada fue la descriptiva, documental bibliográfica y exploratoria con un enfoque mixto por esa razón las técnicas utilizadas fueron la observación indirecta, encuestas y una entrevista al Ing. Miguel Galarza Analista en Fortalecimiento Institucional del Municipio de Babahoyo. Se aplicó los siguientes instrumentos: la ficha de observación, la formulación de las encuestas a través de un cuestionario en línea, la elaboración de una serie de preguntas para la entrevista. Como resultado de la investigación se concluyó que uno de los factores que impiden el desarrollo turístico de la ciudad de Babahoyo es la ausencia de atractivos y existe la necesidad de que las personas profesionales en el área emprendan negocios relacionados al turismo. | es_ES |
