Keratoconjunctivitis is a chronic resection of the conjunctiva and cornea in both eyes due to insufficient tear film, which should be taken advantage of by the visual health professional, and with the help of the patient attending annual or biannual check-ups, in order to detect in time and be able to apply a respective treatment according to the stage of the pathology. Since if not treated in time the patient could lose a percentage of his vision. For this reason, my goal to continue as an Optometrist is to provide primary health care to give greater quality and efficiency in the daily life of the patient. 29-year-old female patient attends the consultation due to red eyes, decreased Visual Acuity, due to the inappropriate use of contact lenses. We can see that the patient who gave little disinterest, irresponsibility to the inappropriate use of contact lenses.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl ojo es uno de los órganos más importante, porque juega un papel primordial ya que la córnea es la estructura más anterior y expuesta a sufrir lesiones por diferentes causas. Los síntomas, que suelen afectar ambos ojos, pueden incluir los siguientes: Una sensación de pinchazo, ardor o picazón en los ojos, Mucosidad viscosa en los ojos o alrededor de estos, Sensibilidad a la luz, Enrojecimiento de los ojos , La sensación de que tienes algo en los ojos , Dificultad para usar lentes de contacto. La queratoconjuntivitis es una resecación crónica de la conjuntiva y la córnea en ambos ojos debido a una película lagrimal insuficiente, lo cual debe ser aprovechado por el profesional de la salud visual, y con la ayuda del paciente asistiendo a controles anual o semestral, para poder detectar a tiempo y poder aplicar, un respectivo tratamiento de acuerdo al estadio que se presente la patología. Ya que si no trata a tiempo el paciente podría perder un porcentaje de su visión. Por esta razón mi objetivo a seguir como Optometrista es brindar salud primaria para dar mayor calidad y eficacia en la vida cotidiana del paciente. Paciente femenino de 29 años de edad asiste a consulta por ojos rojos, disminución de la Agudeza Visual, por el uso inadecuado de los lentes de contacto. Podemos ver que a la paciente que le dio poco desinterés, irresponsabilidad al uso inadecuado de los lentes de contacto.es_ES
