Convergence insufficiency is an alteration of binocular vision that must be considered since in most routine eye examinations it goes unnoticed in this clinical case we will treat a 15-year-old male patient diagnosed with convergence insufficiency and its relationship With near vision, what is relevant in the case is the series of symptoms that it presents when the eyes are not properly coordinated in their binocular vision, this case is also associated with a problem of ametropia (myopia), which makes it even more difficult to see from afar. signs such as frowning, getting too close to read or write, and symptoms such as headache, all of this is detrimental to the patient's eye health, the objective of this clinical case is to identify the cause of the convergence insufficiency and its relationship with near vision, for this reason, objective examinations and subjective examinations were carried out, in addition to the different assessment tests. n of both positive and negative vergential measures, as well as positive and negative relative accommodation, since it is of utmost importance to evaluate the stimulation or relaxation of accommodation keeping the convergence fixed, these data will lead us to a better diagnosis of this case exposed, finding as a result that he suffered from headache, burning, of the eyes, especially when carrying out study tasks with electronic devices such as the computer or cell phone, after a meticulous study of the Optometric examinations it is concluded that the diagnosis In this case it is a Convergence Insufficiency, accompanied by an optical defect such as myopia, which causes eye fatigue due to the effort of keeping the eyes in convergence to achieve a good fusion of the images in the near vision.es_ES
