Hypertension is a global health problem that is affecting all people of all ages, but mostly in people over 40 years of age, with poor diet and overweight. By not controlling this arterial hypertension it produces severe problems to visual health causing partial loss of vision both near and far and in the worst case the complete loss, not to mention that not being controlled it leads to the death of the person. The problems that affect blood pressure to vision, when not controlled in time, can lead to problems such as hypertensive retinopathy, a retinal detachment, which would lead to glaucoma. Where the patient, when not treated, can lose sight completely without the possibility of recovering it. 50-year-old patient with high blood pressure, where he presents non-stable refractive disorder due to his high blood pressure, which causes a deterioration in his vision, even with optical devices, not seeing closely, while his distant vision must wear optical devices. hen treated with time, it did not cause any damage to the retina with the proper drug treatments and a strict diet was able to control her blood pressure and her distance vision was normalized and her near vision could be corrected with glasses after only wearing glasses. close view.es_ES
