The nutritionist performs nutritional assessment: anthropometric, biochemical, and plans a ketogenic diet. patient measures 174 centimeter (cm), I have a weight of 54 kilogram (kg), the indices are applied in the anthropometric assessment: height for age, body mass index for age, according to the biochemical results the patient presents hyperglycemia of 112 mg / dL, hematic results show a hemoglobin of 12 g / d, and malnutrition (BMI / AGE <2 SD). dc.description.abstractEn el presente caso se refiere a un paciente masculino de 17 años de edad con cuadro de epilepsia desde su nacimiento y accidente cerebro vascular (ACV) por accidente de tránsito, paciente presenta convulsiones, acude a consulta por cuadro clínico de 24 horas de evolución caracterizado por convulsiones en número repetitivo de 5 en 24 horas. El médico ordena un electroencefalograma, biometría hemática, y exámenes bioquímicos, realiza la exploración física, presenta déficit motor, no presenta signos meníngeos, pupilas isocóricas no reactivas, abdomen blando depresible, es hospitalizado para hacer el debido seguimiento por resultados obtenidos, se interconsulta al neurólogo para buscar un adecuado tratamiento y al nutricionista por presentar desnutrición. La nutricionista realiza valoración nutricional: antropométrica, bioquímica y planifica dieta cetogénica. paciente mide 174 centímetro (cm), presento peso de 54 kilogramo (kg), se aplica en la valoración antropométrica los índices: de talla para la edad, índice de masa corporal para la edad, de acuerdo a los resultados bioquímicos el paciente presenta hiperglicemia de 112 mg/dL, de los resultados hemáticos se observa una hemoglobina de 12 g/d, y desnutrición (IMC/EDAD < 2 DS). Las enfermedades neurológicas suponen una causa importante de morbilidad y con frecuencia conllevan alteraciones a nivel de la conciencia e implicaciones nutricionales debido a dificultades relacionadas con la ingesta alimentaria, como la desnutrición, anemia, etc., Que ameritan una adecuada asistencia nutricional que basado en la evidencia científica disponible del caso se incluye como tratamiento dietético planes alimenticios cetogenicos.es_ES
