Acute bronchitis is a respiratory disease, which is caused by viruses and bacteria, which cause the walls of the bronchi to become irritated and inflamed so that the production of mucus is greater and causes an obstruction to the exit and entrance of air and therefore respiratory distress in the patient. Environmental factors and habits can help the pathogens that cause this disease to have a long life and spread easier, its symptoms can last for days or weeks, although the cough that is one of its main symptoms may last even after recovery. The role of health personnel is to guide the patient in a necessary way, informing him of the necessary measures for the prevention of diseases of this type and that his treatment consists not only of medication but also of forgetting habits that make much more serious the disease and the quality of life deteriorates more easily.es_ES
