The present study entitled Acute respiratory failure as a consequence of AH1N1 influenza in a 24-year-old female patient, aimed to analyze the relationship between Acute Respiratory Failure and H1N1 influenza, the same one that refers to a female patient of A 24-year-old who came from the private clinic due to a clinical picture of approximately 7 days of evolution due to thermal rise, rhinorrhea and cough, it was possible to determine that the patient refers to asthma and hypertension as a family pathology, within the main clinical data that it was determined that he is admitted breathing through a high-flow intubation. The saturation data was 98%. He showed severe respiratory symptoms and was suspected to be influenza A H1N1. He decided to go to the intensive care unit. As a conclusion it was possible to determine that since most respiratory diseases involve airway obstruction or changes in respiratory mechanics, or occur at the same time, resulting in poor ventilation, respiratory physiotherapy has two objectives. Keeping the airway open, improving airway ventilation, highlights the importance of this study as a reference so that the Respiratory Therapy professional can plan immediate actions in order to provide a quality service.es_ES
