dc.description | In the present clinical case, it is of a 44-year-old male patient with a medical diagnosis of community pneumonia and acute respiratory failure, with a kidney history, in community pneumonia, laboratory tests are not strictly necessary in primary care, where Microbiological studies are also not indicated and chest radiography should not be done routinely. Faced with complications and other criteria, the patient must be hospitalized for treatment and control. Antibiotic treatment is recommended in all cases, depending on the age of the patient. Prevention is of vital importance in the control of this disease. It is a curable disease that can be fatal, especially in children, so it is necessary to know its importance as a public health problem and have an updated knowledge about its etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and strategies for its treatment and prevention. For this reason, it is essential that doctors are familiar with each of these presentations in order to reduce their high morbidity and mortality, as for acute respiratory failure it is the inability to perform respiratory functions correctly. As an initial consequence, respiratory failure can alterations in the level of oxygen and carbon dioxide occur, the diagnosis of acute respiratory failure starts from the clinical suspicion, monitoring with pulse oximetry helps and its confirmation is based on the analysis of arteriales gases. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
