| dc.description | The present clinical case is given by a 70 year old patient who showed presence of lack of oxygen, desaturation, nasal fluttering, asphyxia, hypotension, also exposes chest pain sounds, this was given in the health house where later was detected acute respiratory failure. His objective was to apply respiratory therapy techniques to a 70-year-old patient with acute respiratory failure. The patient presented a heart rate of 62 beats per minute, his breathing rate was 10 breaths per minute (presence of sounds in the lung field), with a temperature of 37.5 oC and a blood pressure of 80/50 mmHg, he presented cyanosis in the skin and dehydration, in the thoracic radiography that was practiced was obtained diffusion in the lung field and deduction of the lung size, this indicated the presence of acute respiratory insufficiency. To control this, the patient was put on an oxygen mask and was given medication to control the symptoms, to which the patient reacted favorably, presenting improvements. In conclusion, it can be assumed that the application of respiratory therapy techniques and procedures in a timely manner, allows the avoidance of subsequent complications that can lead to more serious health problems. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El presente caso clínico está dado por un paciente de 70 años que mostró presencia de falta de oxígeno, desaturación, aleteo nasal, asfixia, hipotensión, también expone sonidos de dolor torácico, esto fue dado en la casa de salud donde posterior se le detecto insuficiencia respiratoria aguda. Su objetivo fue aplicar técnicas de terapia respiratoria en paciente de 70 años con insuficiencia respiratoria aguda. El paciente presentó una frecuencia cardiaca de 62 latidos por minuto, su frecuencia respiratoria fue de 10 resp/minuto (presencia de sonidos en el campo pulmonar), con una temperatura de 37.5 oC y una presión arterial de 80/50 mmHg, presentó cianosis en la piel y deshidratación, en la radiografía torácica que se le practicó se obtuvo difusión en el campo pulmonar y deducción del tamaño pulmonar, esto indicó presencia de insuficiencia respiratoria aguda. Para el control de esto se le colocó mascarilla de oxígeno y se le administró medicamentos para controlar los síntomas, a lo que el paciente reaccionó favorablemente, presentando mejorías. Concluyendo, se puede asumir que la aplicación de técnicas y procedimientos de la terapia respiratoria a tiempo, permite evitar complicaciones posteriores que puede conllevar a problemas más graves a nivel de la salud. | es_ES |
