The clinical case is based on a 55-year-old male patient who entered the emergency area for presenting abdominal pain in the right hypochondrium, accompanied by nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, for which the doctor quickly prescribed medication for peripheral route. Liver cirrhosis is presented as an anatomical disorder in the liver due to the presence of fat and infiltrations, it is related to people who consume alcohol and do not have a nutritious balanced diet, that is, they consume foods with saturated fats, they present with a lot of more severity in overweight patients in patients with glucose problems. Nursing professionals carry out a care process based on the theories of Nanda - NIC and NOC, based on the symptom picture that occurs in grade 1 liver cirrhosis, the processes and methods to be used by the nurses on duty and assess the severity of the pathology. This clinical case aims to use the nursing care process in a 55-year-old patient with liver cirrhosis. Once the nursing care process was applied, the patient's clinical picture could be restored, the symptom picture improved, and the symptoms decreased. Peripheral drugs such as analgesics were used to relieve abdominal pain, antiemetic to relieve nausea and vomiting, and intravenous hydration was used to recover the patient due to dehydration at the time of reaching the emergency.es_ES
