dc.descriptionEndometriosis is a benign, estrogen-dependent inflammatory disease characterized by the presence of endometrial glands and stroma at a site other than the uterine cavity. The incidence of endometriosis in Ecuador is estimated at 10% of women who are in their reproductive age. The prevalence can reach up to 25 to 35% in infertile women. The following case study deals with a 47-year-old patient who was admitted for more than 24 hours presenting severe vaginal bleeding with clots plus severe dysmenorrhea, headache, dizziness, for which she was hospitalized. Blood tests and transvaginal ultrasound are performed, this being the last one that confirmed the presence of endometriosis in the uterus. The treatment that will be applied is pharmacological. The general objective was to develop the Nursing Care process in a 47-year-old patient with the diagnosis of endometriosis of uterine cervix, at the Babahoyo IESS General Hospital, to improve her health problem. The realization of this clinical case allowed us to recognize that this disease is a real problem in women between 25 and 50 years old and that it can affect them not only in their quality of life but also emotionally. The development of this research work helped to acquire knowledge about this pathology, as well as the adequate nursing care that should be provided; With the application of the Nursing Care Process, obtain the prompt recovery of the patient based on their treatment. Helping her not only in her physical or biological aspect but also from an emotional point of view.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa endometriosis es una enfermedad inflamatoria benigna, dependiente de estrógeno, que se caracteriza por la presencia de glándulas y estroma endometrial en un sitio distinto a la cavidad uterina. La incidencia de endometriosis en el Ecuador se estima un 10% de mujeres que se encuentran en su edad reproductiva. La prevalencia puede llegar hasta un 25 a 35% en mujeres infértiles. El siguiente estudio de caso trata de una paciente de 47 años de edad ingresada por presentar cuadro clínico de más de 24 horas sangrado vaginal severo con coágulos más dismenorrea intensa, cefalea, mareo, motivo por el cual es hospitalizada. Se realizan exámenes de sangre y ecografía transvaginal, siendo esta la última que confirmo la presencia de la endometriosis en el útero. El tratamiento que se le aplicara es farmacológico. El objetivo general fue desarrollar el proceso de Atención de Enfermería en una paciente de 47 años de edad don el diagnostico de endometriosis de cérvix uterino, en el Hospital General Babahoyo IESS, para mejorar su problema de salud. La realización de este caso clínico permitió reconocer que esta enfermedad es un problema real en las mujeres de entre 25 a 50 años y que pueden afectarlas no solo en su calidad de vida sino también emocionalmente. El desarrollo del presente trabajo de investigación ayudo a adquirir conocimientos sobre esta patología, así como los cuidados de enfermería adecuados que se deben brindar; con la aplicación del Proceso de Atención de Enfermería obtener la pronta recuperación de la paciente en base a su tratamiento. Ayudándola no solo en su aspecto físico o biológico sino también desde el punto de vista emocional.es_ES
