Fibroids are benign uterine tumors rich in extracellular matrix that are derived from myostecs, which are present in the myometrium, these fibroids originate from the cells of the smooth muscle found in the wall of the uterus. They are usually isolated tumors, more or less round, solid when palpable occur in variable shape, position and size, which can be unique or multiple, which is related to complications such as, abnormal bleeding production, anemia, urinary tract infections, causing in-fertility and infertility in women of reproductive age. A frequency from 35-40 years of age is observed, the etiology of uterine fibroids is unclear, but it is suggested that black women, obese women, people exposed to an increase in estrogen and progesterone, have a higher prevalence. On the other hand, women who participate in sports activities eat fruits, vegetables and fish have a lower incidence. Through this research, we have obtained the clinical characteristics, symptoms, treatment methods and complications of uterine fibroids for a good diagnosis, the goal is to improve the quality of life of patients, I can say that this research work allows to obtain necessary knowledge of this pathology for sufficient and necessary care that must be provided; by applying the nursing process, the patient can recover quickly according to the appropriate treatment that will help you not only in your physical or biological aspect, but also in the emotional and psychological.es_ES
