dc.description | In pediatric age, forearm fractures are very frequent, with 45% of all fractures. They can settle on the ulna or radius diaphysis and can be accompanied by proximal dislocation of the radius (Monteggia) or distal dislocation (Galeazzi). In the beginning, your treatment should always be carried out by means of a closed reduction and immobilization in a plaster. When they are exposed or irreducible, they opt for surgical treatment. To ensure the alignment of fractures produced in the forearm, you must have basic anatomical knowledge, including the anatomy of the proximal and distal ulna. In addition, it is important to consider the muscular insertion of the forearm, for the treatment of fractures, because the muscles affect the location of the fragments. Radius and ulna fractures in children can be classified according to where the fracture is located. Axis fractures can be located in the distal, middle and proximal third, the damage of cartilage growth can be located in the proximal or distal joint. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
