dc.descriptionDiabetes is a pathology that seriously affects individuals in the equator, being this the third cause of death in the whole country, every day the cases diagnosed with this pathology increase, according to the INEC it affects more women than men, symptoms and signs appear during the third decade of life and its complications between the fourth and fifth decades, its prevalence is due to genetic and hereditary factors, followed by incorrect eating habits, fat consumption, carbohydrate-rich foods, beverages sugary and countless foods that predispose overweight and obesity, added to the lack of exercise and alcohol consumption among others. The present clinical case occurs in a 32-year-old female patient who comes to the clinic for reporting dizziness, nausea and excess thirst, for which reason they are sent to take samples in the laboratory for subsequent application of PAE.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa diabetes es una patología que afecta en el ecuador gravemente a los individuos, siendo esta la tercera causa de muerte en todo el país, cada día aumentan los casos diagnosticados con esta patología, según el INEC afecta mas al sexo femenino que al sexo masculino, los síntomas y signos aparecen durante la tercera década de vida y sus complicaciones entre la cuarta y quinta década, su prevalencia se sitúa por los factores genéticos y hereditarios, seguido de los hábitos incorrectos alimenticios, el consumo de grasa, alimentos ricos en carbohidratos, bebidas azucaradas y un sinnúmero de alimentos que predisponen el sobrepeso y obesidad, sumado a la falta de ejercicio y al consumo de alcohol entre otros. El presente caso clínico se da en una paciente del sexo femenino de 32 años que llega a consulta por referir mareos, náuseas y exceso de sed, por lo que se le envían a toma de muestras en laboratorio para posterior aplicación de PAE.es_ES
