Urinary sepsis is one of the most common conditions that develop during the gestation period, and they are responsible for a significant percentage of both maternal and perinatal morbidity, this is due to functional, hormonal and anatomical changes, so the urethral meatus is exposed to bacteria which are the origin for this type of affections to occur in pregnant women, for which reason the present clinical case allows the study of a 16-year-old adolescent pregnant woman, with 31 weeks of pregnancy presenting hyperreflexia headache, oliguria, edematous lower extremities. Urinary sepsis is the existence of microbial colonization and growth, generally of bacterial origin, along the path of the urinary tract; that is, pyelonephritis if it affects the kidney and renal pelvis, cystitis if it involves the bladder, urethritis if there is involvement of the urethra and prostatitis if the infectious process is located in the prostate. The etiological agents can vary according to the age, sex and underlying pathology. Each type of urinary tract infection can develop clinical manifestations, depending on the segment of the urinary tract that is infected. Kidneys (acute pyelonephritis): pain in the upper back and flank, hyperthermia, tremor, chills, nausea, vomiting. Bladder (cystitis), pelvic pressure, pain in the hypogastrium, frequent and painful urination, hematuria. Urethra (urethritis): dysuria, discharge. Therefore, for the nursing professional, the application of the nursing care process is necessary, which is a working method that consists of a system with steps that are related to each other, allowing to identify and satisfy the needs of the patient and solve problems. of health. Nursing staff must have specific knowledge to meet the needs of women and allow them to maintain their health, both emotionally and physically, during the different periods they must go through throughout their lives. That is why the present work was carried out with the purpose of applying the nursing care process. Using the interview as a direct method, collecting objective and subjective data through the assessment of functional health patterns, physical and sensorineural examination; which will subsequently be analyzed and organized, identifying the needs and / or problems that interfere with the patient's health and well-being, for the performance of nursing diagnoses.es_ES
