| dc.description | Covid 19 is a severe acute respiratory syndrome that can cause illness in both animals and humans. Symptoms in some patients include sore throat, nasal congestion, headache, conjunctivitis, diarrhea, and loss of taste and smell that can lead to death. The nursing professional is the one who provides assistance to identify the altered functional patterns to improve, preserve and rehabilitate patients with such pathology, using their knowledge and skills, in order for the patient to recover his or her health status. This pandemic is moving like a wave that can affect health systems. By testing every country it touches, COVID-19 disease has the potential to create devastating social, economic and political crises that will leave deep scars in the countries where it was most affected by this pandemic. In Latin America, one of the countries affected by this pandemic has been Ecuador, which has had a large percentage of infections and deaths, which has led to a major economic problem in the Ecuadorian population. In the present case, it can be determined that the nursing care process played an important role in providing adequate quality care and warmth to patients diagnosed with acute respiratory disease (covid - 19), ensuring that the patient takes the necessary precautions for early recovery during the hospital stay. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El covid 19 es un síndrome respiratorio agudo grave que pueden causar enfermedades tanto en animales como en los seres humanos que presentan síntomas en algunos pacientes como dolor de garganta, congestión nasal, cefalea conjuntivitis, diarrea, perdida de gusto y olfato que puede llegar hasta la muerte. El profesional de enfermería es el que brinda asistencia para identificar los patrones funcionales alterados para mejorar, conservar y rehabilitar a los pacientes con dicha patología, mediante la utilización de sus conocimientos teóricos y prácticos, con la finalidad de que el paciente recupere su estado de salud. Esta pandemia se está moviendo como una ola que puede afectar los sistemas de salud. Al poner a prueba a cada uno de los países que toca, la enfermedad por COVID-19 tiene el potencial de crear crisis sociales, económicas y políticas devastadoras que dejarán profundas cicatrices en los países donde mayor mente fue afectada por esta pandemia. En América Latina, uno de los países afectados por esta pandemia ha sido el Ecuador quien ha tenido gran porcentaje de contagiados y de mortalidad la cual nos ha llevado a un gran problema económico en la población ecuatoriana. En el presente caso se puedo determinar que el proceso de atención de enfermería jugo un papel importante en brindar una adecuada atención de calidad y de calidez a los pacientes con diagnóstico de enfermedad respiratoria aguda (covid – 19) logrando que el paciente tome las debidas precauciones necesaria para pronta recuperación durante la estadía hospitalaria. | es_ES |
