| dc.description | The present clinical case aims to publicize the nursing care process in a 75-year-old patient with pleural effusion. This study was applied at the IESS San Francisco De Quito General Hospital in the area of hospitalization of internal medicine and the development of it is understood in etiology, clinical manifestations, diagnostic methods and treatment. Pleural effusion is the abnormal accumulation of fluid in the lung pleura, it can be caused by underlying pathologies to a related disease and it presents with various symptoms. Nursing care is determined in a systematic process, for its implementation a plan is proposed according to the assessment by functional patterns of Marjory Gordon and the use of the taxonomy NANDA, NIC, NOC; nursing interventions are based on scientific foundations, through these seeks to contribute to the recovery of the patient's health and your wellbeing. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El presente caso clínico pretende dar a conocer el proceso de atención de enfermería en un paciente de 75 años de edad con derrame pleural. Este estudio se aplicó en el Hospital General IESS San Francisco De Quito en el área de hospitalización de medicina interna y el desarrollo del mismo se comprende en la etiología, manifestaciones clínicas, métodos diagnósticos y tratamiento. El derrame pleural es la acumulación anormal de líquido en la pleura pulmonar, puede ser causado por patologías subyacentes a una enfermedad relacionada y se presenta con diversas sintomatologías. La atención de enfermería se determina en un proceso sistemático, para su aplicación se plantea un plan de acuerdo a la valoración por patrones funcionales de Marjory Gordon y el uso de la taxonomía NANDA, NIC, NOC; las intervenciones de enfermería se basan en fundamentos científicos, por medio de estos se busca contribuir a la recuperación de la salud del paciente y su bienestar. | es_ES |
