This experimental work was carried out on the grounds of the Experimental Farm "Palmar”, belonging to the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the Technical University of Babahoyo, located at Km. 10.5 of the Babahoyo - Montalvo road, with UTM geographic coordinates 672 794 - 9 797 177. The rice varieties SFL 11 and INIAP FL Arenillas were used as planting material, interacted with three doses of a granulated nitrogen humic amendment called Humiq NG, with the objective of evaluating its effects on the yield of rice cultivation. The experimental design used was that of divided plots, with 2 treatments (varieties), 5 sub-treatments (3 doses of amendment and 2 controls) and 3 repetitions. The evaluation and comparison of means was performed using the Tukey test at 95% probability. For the proper growth of the crop, the following cultural tasks were carried out: land preparation, planting, weed control, phytosanitary control, irrigation, fertilization and harvest. At the end of the crop cycle the following variables were evaluated: plant height, tillers and panicles/m2 ,panicle length, grains per panicle, weight of 1000 grains, days to flowering, days to physiological maturation of grain, grain-straw ratio, yield per hectare and economic analysis. The results determined that the interaction between the variety SFL 11 together with the application of Humiq NG, (30 kg/ha) presented a higher number of tillers and panicles/m2, number of grains per panicle and grain-straw ratio, while the interaction between the variety INIAP FL Arenillas plus the application of Humiq NG in doses of 30 kg/ha, It has obtained greater plant height, panicle length and weight of 1000 grains. The absolute witness of the SFL 11 variety was the earliest to flower, while both varieties took longer to mature with the Humiq NG dose of 30 kg/ha. The SFL 11 variety plus the application of Humiq NG in doses of 30 kg/ha, It allowed to obtain the highest yield (5989.61 kg/ha) and the highest benefit/cost ($ 687.94).es_ES
