Allergic rhinitis is a chronic nasal congestion, this condition occurs in children at an early age reaching adulthood, this determines a social, personal and economic problem in the parents of these patients, causing severe respiratory difficulties. The objective of this study is: To determine the environmental risk factors associated with allergic rhinitis that cause respiratory and dermatological problems in schoolchildren who go to an outpatient office of the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security in the city of Babahoyo. The methodological method and design corresponds to a quantitative, descriptive, field, observational, cross-sectional investigation, where a representative sample of 50 schools was considered. Among the results obtained from the survey used, it was identified that mites and climate change are the main environmental risk factors associated with allergic rhinitis of schoolchildren. Therefore, this project is aimed at reducing the prevalence of rhinitis in the city of Babahoyo.es_ES
