| dc.description | As an introduction, we currently have diseases that compromise the respiratory tract, such as ARIs (Acute Respiratory Infections). These diseases have become a public health problem since morbidity has been growing, so much so that it has arrived to occupy the first places in emergent care and primary care, the objective of our study work is “to determine the relationship between passive smoking and acute respiratory infections in children aged 5 to 10 years of the Puerta Negra citadel of the Babahoyo canton, during October 2019 - March 2020 ”whose methodological structure is the following historical-logical with qualitative approach, within our results we have: that 82% do not know the problems that smoke causes, this is because there is no entity that take charge of imparting the necessary knowledge about the problems caused by cigarette smoke, and much less the methods of prevention of acute respiratory infections, and to solve this problem it is necessary to apply a proposal whose theme is “Educational talks on care and prevention of acute respiratory infections in children aged 5 to 10 years of the Puerta Negra citadel”, as well as This way you can improve the quality of life in this sector. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | Como introducción tenemos que en la actualidad existen enfermedades que comprometen el tracto respiratorio, como lo son las IRA (Infecciones Respiratorias Agudas) estas enfermedades se han convertido en un problema de salud pública ya que la morbilidad ha ido en crecimiento, tanto así que ha llegado a ocupar los primeros lugares en atención emergente y en atención primaria, el objetivo de nuestro trabajo de estudio es “determinar la relación entre el tabaquismo pasivo y las infecciones respiratorias agudas en niños de 5 a 10 años de la ciudadela Puerta Negra del cantón Babahoyo, durante octubre 2019 – marzo 2020” cuya estructura metodológica es la siguiente histórico-lógico con enfoque cualitativo, dentro de nuestros resultados tenemos: que el 82% no conoce los problemas que el humo causa, esto es debido a que no hay una entidad que se encargue de impartir los conocimientos necesarios sobre los problemas que causa el humo del cigarrillo, y muco menos los métodos de prevención acerca de las infecciones respiratorias agudas, y para solucionar este problema es necesario la aplicación de una propuesta cuyo tema es “Charlas educativas de cuidados y prevención de infecciones respiratorias agudas en niños de 5 a 10 años de la ciudadela Puerta Negra”, así de esta manera se pueda mejorar la calidad de vida en este sector. | es_ES |
