Chronic renal insufficiency is defined as the constant presence of structural or functional alterations of the kidney for a period of more than 3 months and shown by: laboratory alterations (creatinine elevation, proteinuria or glomerular hematuria), imaging (polycystic kidney) or by biopsy (chronic glomerulopathy) (Kasper, 2016). The quality of life in the health environment includes the individual's perception of their health and the way they carry out their daily activities includes physical, psychological and social function, mobility and emotional well-being. It has become a key value for the care of patients with chronic diseases to predict risk factors in the course of their condition and to establish the effectiveness of treatment. (Rodríguez, 2015). The objective will be to determine the quality of life of patients with chronic renal failure attending the dialysis unit of the Ventanas canton, province of Los Ríos. The modality of the investigation will be of mixed type; qualitative for allowing to describe the characteristics of the object of study by the interaction in the establishment that will carry out the project, which allows to acquire important data to develop the research. It is considered quantitative type because numerical data will be obtained by applying the data collection instrument, which will give more precision in the results. The population is 48 patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment were submitted to the survey based on the karnosfky record. According to the analysis of the data we conclude that: The majority of patients in the Dial-Rios Hemodialysis unit had several signs or symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, fever or chills during their dialysis session. Renal patients of the Dial-Rios Hemodialysis unit when their diagnosis was indicated, 75% showed depression and 25% were sad. All users of the Dial-Rios Hemodialysis unit have economic difficulties in carrying out their treatment, problems in transporting to the unit due to lack of money complicating their rehabilitation.es_ES
