dc.descriptionThe Quality of Work Life is the favorable environment and working conditions, which protect and promote employee satisfaction through rewards, job security and personal development opportunities, providing a subjective sense of well-being, due to the social and personal characteristics that wraps up. Objective: to determine the factors of the work environment that influence the quality of life in the nursing staff of the gynecology and obstetrics area of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Basic Hospital, Quevedo. Methods: cross-sectional descriptive study. He investigated 40 nursing professionals applying a labor risk questionnaire and the “CVP-35 questionnaire”. Results: the group of 30-39 years, female, 16-20 years of service predominated. As physical factor the exposure to noise, the perception of high temperatures; more than 50% exposed to chemical factors; biological risks, 57.5% sometimes direct contact with blood or other fluids, 40% sometimes suffered accidents due to the handling of sharp materials; as an ergonomic risk: 77.5% suffered from low back pain at the end of the workday; 90% remain standing during the performance of their duties and 77.5% maintain inadequate postures, 82.5% carry out their activities causing stress, 55% perceive changes in their behavior and lifestyle, the 67.5% perceive a bad working environment, 60% distinguish work overload. Conclusions: The chemical and psychosocial risks had a greater influence on the quality of life of the professionals and the perception of the quality of life of the nursing staff was good.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa Calidad de Vida Laboral es el ambiente y las condiciones de trabajo favorables, que protegen y promueven la satisfacción de los empleados mediante recompensas, seguridad laboral y oportunidades de desarrollo personal, brindando una sensación subjetiva de bienestar, debido a las características sociales y personales que envuelve. Objetivo: determinar los factores del entorno laboral que influyen en la calidad de vida en el personal de enfermería del área de ginecología y obstetricia del Hospital Básico Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, Quevedo. Métodos: estudio descriptivo transversal. Investigó a 40 profesionales de enfermería aplicándoles un cuestionario de riesgos laborales y el “cuestionario CVP-35”. Resultados: predominó el grupo de 30-39 años, femenino, de 16-20 años de servicio. Como factor físico la exposición a ruidos, la percepción de temperaturas altas; más del 50% expuestos a factores químicos; riesgos biológicos, el 57,5% a veces contacto directo con sangre u otros fluidos, el 40 % a veces ha sufrido accidentes por la manipulación de materiales punzocortantes; como riesgo ergonómico: el 77,5% ha padecido de dolor lumbar al término de la jornada laboral; el 90% permanece de pie durante el cumplimiento con sus funciones y el 77,5% mantiene posturas inadecuadas, al 82,5% la ejecución de sus actividades le ocasiona estrés, el 55% percibe cambios de su comportamiento y estilo de vida, el 67,5% percibe mal clima laboral, 60% distingue sobrecarga laboral. Conclusiones: Los riesgos químicos y psicosociales tuvieron una mayor influencia en la calidad de vida de los profesionales y la percepción de calidad de vida del personal de enfermería fue buena.es_ES
