The experimental work was carried out on the grounds of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the Technical University of Babahoyo, located at kilometer 7.5 of the Babahoyo - Montalvo road, located at a height of 8 masl at UTM X coordinates: 1,7723946 ; Y: 710293, presents an average temperature of 24 - 26 ºC. The research had the general objective of evaluating the agronomic behavior of the janeiro grass irradiated with gamma rays at 52Gy. Grass stolons were used. To obtain the results, the experimental design Completely Random (DCA) with a 5% statistical probability was used. The best results were recorded in treatments T5-154.50 cm in length, T9-0.35 mm stem diameter, in leaf length T7-19.3, the highest number of knots in T7-13.8, the largest number of tillers in the T2-12.5 and the sheet width the T8-22.9 mm the best resultes_ES
