dc.descriptionThe following clinical case is about a 68 year-old female patient who enters the Emergency area due to having respiratory difficulties of several days ago, insomnia at night, tiredness, also indicates that she has a loss of urine when she performs an activity, Even when I sneeze or when I cough and more at night, I arrive with her husband who indicates that his wife a few years ago smoked but not regularly. Due to the symptoms presented by the patient, urinary incontinence is suspected in addition to respiratory failure. Urinary incontinence such as respiratory failure are two very frequent complications within a hospital ward and sometimes it is unknown why they appear, this study was developed in order to obtain a deeper and clearer vision of what the problem of different factors that are associated with these acute conditions since both can be totally improved if it is treated on time or it can get worse if a specific treatment is followed for its speedy recovery. The objective of this case is to identify the epidemiological profile of patients diagnosed with urinary incontinence and respiratory failure. It is recommended that if there are any signs or symptoms, however mild it may be, it is necessary to go to the doctor as life-threatening complications can be caused by the simple fact that it is not diagnosed in time.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl siguiente caso clínico trata de un paciente de sexo femenino de 68 años de edad que ingresa al área de Emergencia por presentar dificultad respiratoria de hace varios días, insomnio por la noche, cansancio, también indica que tiene perdida de orina cuando realiza alguna actividad, incluso al estornudar o cuando tose y más por las noches, llego con su esposo el cual indica que su esposa hace unos años atrás fumaba pero no con regularidad. Por los síntomas que presenta la paciente se sospecha de una incontinencia urinaria además de la insuficiencia respiratoria. La incontinencia urinaria como la insuficiencia respiratoria son dos complicaciones muy frecuentes dentro de una sala de un hospital y a veces se desconoce por qué aparecen, este estudio se elaboró con el fin de obtener una visión más profunda y clara sobre lo que implica el problema de los diferentes factores que se encuentran asociados a estos padecimientos agudos ya que ambos pueden mejorar totalmente si se trata a tiempo o puede empeorar sino se sigue un tratamiento específico para su pronta recuperación. El objetivo de este caso es identificar el perfil epidemiológico de los pacientes diagnosticados con incontinencia urinaria e insuficiencia respiratoria. Es recomendable que si se presenta algún signo o síntomas por más leve que sea es necesario acudir al médico ya que pueden ocasionarse complicaciones que ponen en riesgo la vida por el simple hecho que no se diagnostica a tiempo.
