| dc.description | The purpose of this case study is to improve communication and, in turn, streamline processes within the decentralized autonomous government of the Puebloviejo Canton, implementing VoIP technology. Currently, the administrative departments of the present institution do not have a conventional telephony which causes delays, loss of both time and money, and poor job performance; People who work within these administrative departments are forced to move from one place to another in case of requesting information since, due to internal policy, they cannot use mobile telephones during working hours. The Municipal GAD does present the necessary conditions in terms of wiring, topology, hardware, software, satisfactory internet, among others, for the respective implementation of IP phones. The methodology used for the development of this study was the observation one, together with the interview technique, through which I was able to obtain relevant information from the Municipal GAD of the Puebloviejo Canton. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El presente estudio de caso tiene la finalidad de mejorar la comunicación y a su vez agilizar los procesos, dentro de los departamentos administrativos del Gobierno autónomo descentralizado del Cantón Puebloviejo, implementado la tecnología VoIP. Actualmente los departamentos administrativos de la presente institución no cuentan con una telefonía convencional lo cual ocasiona retrasos, perdidas tanto de tiempo como dinero, y, bajo rendimiento laboral; las personas que laboran dentro de estos departamentos administrativos se ven obligados a trasladarse de un lugar a otro en caso de requerir información ya que por política interna no pueden utilizar telefonía móvil en horas de trabajos. El GAD Municipal si presenta las condiciones necesarias en cuanto al cableado, topología, hardware, software, internet satisfactorio, entre otros, para la respectiva implementación de los teléfonos IP. La metodología empleada para el desarrollo de este estudio fue la de observación, junto con la técnica de la entrevista, por medio de la cual pude obtener información relevante del GAD Municipal del Cantón Puebloviejo. | es_ES |
