This clinical case is focused on the health status of a 50-year-old male patient, presents a clinical picture characterized by unquantified thermal rise, progressive dyspnea of medium to minimal efforts, cough with expectoration, respiratory distress, saturating 90% with dyspnea on exertion, refers to a productive cough for 15 days, so it is admitted and remains 10 days in intensive care where antifungal therapy treatment was administered. After practicing the patient several tests and complementary tests, a definitive diagnosis of COPD plus non-specific pneumonia was reached, that was his diagnosis of discharge. The realization of this study is focused on recognizing COPD as a disease of great importance for public health due to its high mortality rate since to date it is the most frequent disease in adulthood worldwide, it is very important to know what is the risk of suffering from this disease and what would be the results in a person's life. The main objective of this study is to recognize the clinical manifestations of COPD in advanced stages and due treatment. It was concluded that respiratory pathologies such as COPD have airway obstruction or poor respiratory mechanics, so rehabilitation is a great option for these patients, since what they need is to improve ventilation and keep the airways permeable.es_ES
