dc.description	The present comparative study of four varieties of rice introduced to the country with two national varieties, sowed in the area of Babahoyo, county of The Ríos one carries out in the lands of the Enclosure “Island of Gold “, located to the height of the km 8 of the road Barreiro-Hill Cacharí, inside the geographical coordinates 0°42'35” south latitude 79°28'04” latitude west with an altitude of 8 m.s.n.m. The area presents a humid tropical climate, with a temperature annual average of 25,6 °C an annual precipitation of 329.8 mm, relative humidity of 82% and 998,2 hours of average helíofanía yearly. The floor is of plane topography, texture acid and regular drainage. Four varieties of certified seed rice were used, introduced to our Country: Peruvian varieties (to GO 43 AND Tinajones) and Colombian (S - FL 09 and F - 21) and National varieties INIAP 14 and INIAP 16. The varieties of rice were evaluated in six treatments and four repetitions; the design experimental employee was Block totally at random and the comparisons of the measures of this treatment were made mediantes the test from TUKEY to 5%.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	El presente estudio comparativo de cuatro variedades de arroz introducidas al país con dos variedades nacionales, sembradas en la zona de Babahoyo, provincia de Los Ríos se realizó en los terrenos del Sr. Manuel Vargas Silva, ubicada en el Recinto “Isla de Oro “en el km 8 de la vía Barreiro – Cerro Cacharí, dentro de las coordenadas geográficas 0°42’35” latitud sur 79°28’04” latitud oeste con una altitud de 8 m.s.n.m. La zona presenta un clima tropical húmedo, con una temperatura media anual de 25,6 °C una precipitación anual de 329.8 mm, humedad relativo de 82% y 998,2 horas de helíofanía de promedio anual. El suelo es de topografía plana, textura acido y drenaje regular. Se utilizaron cuatro variedades de arroz de semilla certificada, introducidas a nuestro País: variedades Peruanas (IR 43 Y Tinajones) y colombianas (S- FL 09 y F- 21) y variedades Nacionales INIAP 14 y INIAP 16. Se evaluaron las variedades de arroz en seis tratamientos y cuatro repeticiones; el diseño experimental empleado fue Bloque completamente al azar y las comparaciones de las medidas de dicho tratamiento se efectuaron mediantes la prueba de TUKEY al 5%.	es_ES
