| dc.description | SUMMARY This paper presents technical aspects about the alternatives for the control of the Mycosphaerella fijiensis M black sigatoka in the cultivation of bananas, highlighting the cultural tasks such as leaf removal, pruning and phytosanitary surgery, which are used to avoid the incidence and severity of the disease, which are aimed at the total or partial elimination of tissue infected by the disease through the use of a specialized tool called podón. It has also been possible to compile basic information about the economic importance of banana cultivation in Ecuador, as well as information about the black sigatoka disease Mycosphaerella fijiensis M, by knowing a little more about how it reproduces inside the plant and which are the symptoms that it presents to be able to identify it avoiding that it spreads and affects the total of the plantation of banana, in addition it is made known about the yellow sigatoka Mycosphaerella musicola to avoid confusions between the two. | dc.description.abstract | RESUMEN En este trabajo se presenta aspectos técnicos acerca de las alternativas para el control de la sigatoka negra Mycosphaerella fijiensis en el cultivo de banano destacándose así las labores culturales como lo son el deshoje, la poda y la cirugía fitosanitarias labores que se utilizan para evitar la incidencia y severidad de la enfermedad, las mismas que tienen como finalidad la eliminación total o parcial del tejido infectado por la enfermedad mediante la utilización de una herramienta especializada llamada podón. Además se ha podido recopilar información básica acerca de la importancia económica del cultivo de banano en el Ecuador, así como también se seleccionó información de la enfermedad sigatoka negra Mycosphaerella fijiensis M conociendo un poco más a fondo como se reproduce dentro de la planta y cuáles son los síntomas que presenta para poderla identificar evitando que se disemine y afecte al total de la plantación de banano, además se da a conocer acerca de la sigatoka amarilla Mycosphaerella musicola para evitar confusiones entre las dos.
